Hi I'm new to this forum We just bought a new 2018 Everest it only has 3000 k's on the clock and I noticed that it makes a slight knocking noise at idle.. I can't quite pinpoint where it's coming from as the sound sort of sounds louder if u get away from the normal engine noise.. I am going back to car yard to see if another one does it hut has anyone here got one that makes a similar noise? I know I'm not explaining it well lol It also does it on the initial acceleration at low revs.. Thanks guys

Hi Daniel, mine like that if I drive it very gently. Give it a bit more acceleration and it changes to a nicer rumble without knocking noise. Could be the quality of fuel used too but driving it a little more aggressive helped me and I'm still getting at least 8.5l per hundred, if not lower. :-)

I am looking at an Everest with plans to drive across to top end. Is there enough experience with the 2L bitubo to assess reliability or stick with the 3.2?
