So after much (much much much) deliberation, research, visits and excel spreadsheets, we decided to purchase the Offtrax Outback demo. Cost $28,000, has 8 large storage tubs that are removable and 2 large cabinets, 90L National Luna fridge/freezer, Kitchen with 2 burner stove and sink, hot water service, 2 x gas bottles, 2 x jerry cans, 2 x water pumps, 150L Water tank, 2 x 100Ah batteries, Solar panels, can charge from 12V Anderson plug, 240V outlet or solar, main tent is 2m x 2m on the floor and the bed is a king size, and the add on kids room is the same size. approx 1100kg empty and 1700-1800kg full. We use 2 x Oztrail 2.3m awnings instead of the 6mx6m awning that came with it as they are easier to set up with the kids. Some photos...

Looks like a great setup you have there. Is it a quick & easy job to assemble & pack it down? I have slowly started looking for a camper too... not sure if I should go brand new or used, I have seen a few decent used camper trailers out there, most have already been customised... added LED's, extra storage, etc...

I have slowly started looking for a camper too... not sure if I should go brand new or used, I have seen a few decent used camper trailers out there, most have already been customised... added LED's, extra storage, etc... Yeah pretty quick. Could be up just the main room in about 5-10 depending on how kids are helping, average about 30-60 for rent, kids room and 2 gazebos, plus all beds made, sleeping bags out etc... very dependant on kids. Sometimes they speed the process, other times... 😳 Biggest first decision is price. Once you have a budget you can go from there. I have a heap of research in a spreadsheet or can chat more about what we have found. Feel free to add me on FB and can chat more.
