Hi Bud, Piggy here, we have played on a few beaches in our Trend. Moreton Island (QLD). Double Island Point(QLD). Stradbroke Island(QLD). Pebbly Beach(NSW). Fraser Island(QLD). all of these camps were usually week long camps & the Everest did it without an Issue towing an 18ft offroad caravan. I drop the van tyres to 25psi, the car front to 18psi & the rear to 25psi (due to the 18" rim & the van ball weight I wasn't game going any lower in the rear. I used sand mode for entering & exiting the beach & back into normal mode once on the hard sand. all of these trips were on a stock standard Trend with only Electric breaks, airbags & Anderson plug to the rear for van power, roof racks with a 10ft Malibu, foxwing awning, & a lightforce facia panel. my car go's into UV4X4-ARB Brisbane mid July for its next mods, ARB Summit Sahara colour coder without the hoop, SmityBuilt 10,000lb winch, ARB Old Man Emu suspension lift, UHF & ERPS 10 pad elect rust protection as we are slowly getting the car ready for its next major beach camp on Moreton Island in November. Moreton is a lot more expensive to get to than frazer due to the barge fees, The sand is also a lot softer than Frazer as there is not as much water coming out of the hills. But its a lot less spoilt than Frazer. the 3rd lot of mods just before we go will be going down to 17" rims with a 285 70 17 A/T to get larger side walls for bagging out on the sand with the van,30" Lightforce LED light bar (lightforce are bringing out a new single row LED light bar closer to the end of the year that will out shine their existing dual row light bars of the same size) dual battery for the car fridge. cheers Piggy.
