My ford Everest got the same oil leak just under 30k on odometer. It is also booked for a service under warranty. How is yours going after fixing. Any further issues? How did ya go with rear main leak?? something like 20% of these motors have rear main leaks from the factory, it's well known to ford but there not too concerned. Long term the rangers start to show a lot wear about the 150,000 mark one would assume the Everest will be the same turn and burn Still not bad for the cost if you can move it on prior to forking out coin to keep it afloat

Looks really good mate. I painted my original grill satin black. The black grill definitely sets it off

Thanks for that :-) Hopefully get the rear flares done next week and the lift kit done as well. Not sure what was worse, the catch can install or the grill removal!

Are you installing the lift yourself? I haven't done the catch can install yet but i definitely know how much of a pain the grill is without taking the bar off.

I wont be doing the lift now, Donbinson are having a special and fitting the lot for only $200! Catch can is a serious pain to do, just no room to move and the stainless bracket is all sharp edged so Ive lost a lot of bark in the process Western filters only sells the dual bracket for catch can and fuel filter so it makes it even more awkward as the bracket takes up a lot of unnecessary real estate..

Yay. I still have to do mine. But i am going to do catch can and filter. That is crazy that its only an extra 200 to fit the lift kit definitely worth it. I got my new upper control arms on friday so will be fitting them this week. Was planing to do it this weekend but couldnt get a wheel alignment til Wednesday as the guy i use is off.

Why do you need UCA's, big lift?

I have dobinsons 2" lift from which i gained 55-60mm lift. With IFS when you raise them you gain positive camber. I had my allignment done afterwards and could not get better than positive .25° camber. Which causes slight wear on the outer edges of the front tyres. They recommended i get some UCAs to compensate for the lift and fix caster and camber. So i did some research and found that it is highly reccomended to change them with any lift over 30mm. I decided to go with pedders as i got a great price. But they are exactly the same item as blackhawk. I think they might be made at the same place.

Im also looking at the Dobinson 2"
Was hoping not to have to do the UCA's
Are you happy with the Dobinsons day to day ride quality compared to the plush standard?

So was i but i am running 285/65/18 BFG KO2's and at $400 a tyre its definitely worth $600 for UCAs to stop premature wear. The ride is awesome i am soo happy with it. My wife drives it daily and couldnt be happier with how comfy it is. I am running the 50-90kg springs in the front and 0-100kg springs in the rear.
