View AttachmentSo not so much what I did 'today', but over Easter. In the space of a week the Trend went from standard to having the bullbar, protection side steps, BFG's and roof racks added. Took it to Bendleby Ranges 4WD park and got the little treasure dirty! (although in the pic, the side step bars are on, but they didn't have the actual step back from the powder coasters) My first 4WD experience.. .. I'm pretty sure the tech in the car did all the work for me. Didn't find anything that I struggled with. Who is making the side steps?

TIM side steps. Looks great now the step is actually fitted.
I wanted rock sliders, but the only local place that makes rock sliders with an actual step (instead of just the tube, which sucks when your loading the roof racks), didn't make them for the Everest.

Do you mind putting up a pic of the finished step - and if possible a link to the business , I don't know TIM

Went for a drive with the snorkel fitted. Feels a little more responsive, like it needs less throttle up hills, this may also be that I tapped the air filter out (lots of dust). A lot more induction noise with window down, I like the sound it makes. Window up cant hear it. Very happy, put my hand over the head and almost got stuck to it! I think I sealed it pretty well. Small animals and children may be sucked in under full throttle!

Went for a drive with the snorkel fitted. I think I sealed it pretty well. Great job, was your heart in mouth when you where drilling the holes into the FE Is this something you would recommend other members install themselves ? Have TJM provided a well directed installation guides, and templates ? When you mentioned, "think Ive sealed it properly" was there anything extra you did to seal it or do you just clamp it where you removed the existing intake into the bottom of the air box? Sounds like you are happy with the install, I'm still very interested if this design will produce a better airflow than the Ford factory design installed into the existing vent! Again great job would be inspired to give it a go installing one myself if you recommend!

Again great job would be inspired to give it a go installing one myself if you recommend! Heart in mouth big time! Template was on guard for a while while I worked up the courage to actually do it! Instructions were good, though black and white made the pictures a bit hard to make out. I am quite mechanically minded (I'm an electrican) so I found it quite easy. I sealed all hose joins with Sika 227. I had to buy extra the Sika 227, some masking tape and some rust proofing (paint). I had all tools in the truck including 95mm hole saw. I saved myself $300 by doing the self install. If you had to buy tools and aren't too good with a drill/understanding instructions then I'd recommend paying for the install.

Yesterday, had a quick look around the Whroo Historic AreaNothing crazy as far as 4x4 is concerned, but plenty to see with the family etc. Found one decent climb that lead nowhere, however Rock mode and Difflock made an appearance, but as usual the mountain goat was steady as always...

No lift yet 265/65/18 AT fit no problems and plenty of clearance, I went with this size tyre due to VIC regulations you can have a combined height increase (27mm in tyres leaving me 48mm for suspension) of 75mm or up to a 50mm increase on tyres on the Ford Everest being a MC classification vehicle, very happy with the BFG AT KO2 Good luck see you out there

The FE made a trip yesterday and today to Epworth Private Hospital Richmond ,my wife is very happy as FE can still fit under 2.0m which is maximum height in Hospital car parking Had my back surgery today and I'm very impressed with the FE getting me home quite comfortably considering. Home now and laid up for at least another 4 weeks My friends have bought me heaps of Motorbike, 4WD, Caravan magazine so hopefully will not keep boring everyone else on the forums Instead of the old bell Ive got out the handheld Uniden UHFs

Filled my AdBlue on Saturday, 15.94L at 84c/L. Car has 10800km on it. First fill for me. Easy to fill from BP, magnet collar was already on the pump. Not sure if it was full from dealer or not.
