Gareth, thanks. Good Lon has a good set-up. I'll have to think about it as I need my seat all the way back (then some). Mike

Go on the Facebook site Lon Fraser put it under the front seat looked like a good spot. Does anyone have a photo of where they've mounted their fire extinguisher? I asked the dealer where they install them, and they said they've never put one in. I was looking at putting it lying down across the footwell immediately in front of the passengers seat as the seat will slide forward over the extinguisher if necessary. However, the material under the floor there is spongy; probably the ducts to the under seat aircon outlets. I can't look up Fraser's Facebook site as I don't do FB. Any suggestions appreciated.

You might contemplate if the mount would hold the extinguisher in the event of a frontal collision. It would be a shame to take out the passengers ankles in a minor frontal hit. I'm similarly keen to find a suitable spot as my extinguisher is in the back which is slow to access and a crash risk to rear passenger heads. Cheers

I quite agree. I've come to the conclusion that the best option is to pack it in with the other gear when we go on a trip; there just doesn't seem to be anywhere to put it that doesn't involve impacting the load area in the rear. The downside to that is it could equally be needed locally, and it needs to be somewhere that I can get to it in a hurry if the need arises.
