Hi, i have trend model and am looking to add electric brakes to it to tow s caravan, i have been told that there is dome kind of module needed for the electric brakes, spoke to Ford about it but they know nothing about a module for electric brakes, has anyone added electric brakes themselves, is it as simple as getting a controller and wiring it straight in, would appreciate some advice if anyone knows😁

There is a wire behind the driver's side kick panel labelled for electric brake activation. You can get the module and wiring loom (together or separately) from Redarc or 1 of their distributors. You can install yourself, the instructions are good or get an auto electrician to do it. Very neat installation and works well.

Hi
I’ve had tow pro elite installed going to take it back(disables rear park pilot because thinks trailer is attached and blinkers go crazy). But before I do wanted to arm myself with info. I’ve found a wiring kit available but based on what they charged me i wouldn’t appear they have included it. The install instructions for the kit have a wire at the rear of Everest to pick up and connect to the blue.
Couple of Qs 1. Is the wiring kit needed? 2. Could they have installed it without picking the wire you mentioned behind the kick board? Thanks

Mine was wired originally as you described picking up from the rear, problem as mentioned crazy indicators. Problem solved by using the wire as described in my previous message, all good since then. Good luck
