Hi I have had a check engine light diagnosed as the Add Blue Heater on my 2017 Everest Trend . With a replacement cost of $1200 . As I live in Western Australia and the last time it froze here was in the ice age I can not see the need for a heater. I understand there is a fix by putting a resistor in the circuit ? Has anyone done this repair ? What resistor rating was used and any problems removing the Add Blue tank

Had mine done yesterday under extended warranty at just under 6 years. Very pleased with that as the car originally had only 3 years warranty.

Hello
Just looking for some detail on this topic. Does anyone know if the error code was a P20BA and P204F?

My 2017 everest adBlue heater just failed at 88k. They wouldn't come at warranty but quoted $800 so I went ahead and got it done.

Hello Just looking for some detail on this topic. Does anyone know if the error code was a P20BA and P204F? Hi there Just curious to hear your thoughts about the above statement you made. I had a P204f fault and had my adblue heat sensor pot replaced. A week later a got the P20BA error code. Wondering what this is related to if I had the part already replaced?

Hello, I took it into Ford, and they fixed it. They replaced the whole ad blue pump and associated equipment. I was shocked that they did that, but they did. My main error was "line heater/heat trace" wasn't working. Basically an electric heater along the ad blu line that stops it from freezing in cold conditions. Not really required in AU. When the resistance of the heater deviates from a certain range, it gives the P204f and P20BA faults.

We had the Ad Blue heat pump replaced 2.5 years ago under the extended warranty. Now its failed again and Ford want $6,500 to replace it! Has this happened to anyone else?
