Gday, We recently picked up a 2016 trend and we're in the market for roof racks. What brands are people choosing to go with?
Thoughts?
Cheers,
Tom80

About the backbone - did they need to remove the ceiling to access the roof from underneath? If so, is there any noticeable marks as a result?
Roughly how much did it cost by the time all the accessories were added?
I'm in Sydney - if anyone can offer info on a good installer.
Thanks Tim

I had a bad experience with rhino roof bars moving a sheet of checker plate aluminum in a light weight wooden frame. a short gust of wind from the side ripped the roof bars clean off. Fortunately no damage but l wouldn't trust them again. A 4mm lip grip is not sufficient in my mind. In my old Prado they were bolted down. Clamped on racks can't be trusted.
Cheers

Thanks for that. I am very conscious of these mounts too. Max load of 100kg on the highway, 50kg for off-road makes planning essential, and execution critical. My supplier and I are looking at different mounts that bolt on, just not a fan of the rhino mounts...

Hi all,
I'm a proud new owner of an Everest Sport and am in the market for a roof platform. Have been considering the Rhino Pioneer setup but have read scathing reviews because of the wind noise. Has anyone experienced that?
I'd also prefer the SX feet as I want something that is quick and easy to remove given height issues.
Appreciate the views!
